What are the Grooves in the Spools?

Refinished spools off hydreco control valveMerry Christmas!  We've had a few questions about what the grooves are in the spools.  These grooves trap oil and keep the spool lubricated.  They serve an important function in keeping your valve and machine operating smoothly.

When your spools are refinished, we replace these grooves and any inlets on the edge of the spools.
